Did'ja Miss Me?

Huh? Huh? Did'ja?

Believe it or not, I actually went on Spring Break! Will tell you all about that in the next post (once I download my meager photos), but I wanted to share the ONLY thing quilting-related in my life in the past 3 weeks.

This 1000 Pyramids quilt was a test sample for a new die-cut kit we are offering in the shop. Over 700 pieces - already pre-cut! How fun is that?

Here's a close-up of the floral fabrics that are in this kit.

Can't you just envision this in Kaffes.......or 30's.......or reproductions? Anybody got a Round TUIT they can loan me?

Welcome to Texas!

There's an old adage in Texas - "If you don't like the weather here, just wait 24 hours.".

How true. It was 74 degrees on Sunday afternoon. Severe thunderstorms Sunday night with flash flood warnings. Snow began Monday night and we woke up to 5-1/2" of snow on Tuesday morning! Afternoon temperatures are expected to be 67. I would call that a pretty exreme 48-hour swing!

Here's Audrey stomping around in the snow with her ruler. And this was before 7am. She's normally not very concious at that time in the morning - but hey, there's snow!

Here's a view of our house from the front - it's hard to tell where the sidewalk and flowerbeds begin and end.

I took this shot of the house across the street. That majestic old oak tree is just stunning.

The funny thing? Dallas (25 miles south) has virtually no snow. It's kind of weird watching the "local" traffic and weather..... I guess we'll enjoy our 2-hour delay for school and maybe even go out for breakfast.
