The Perfect Day

....for me, that is. Today was my day off. Audrey is in Ft. Worth for the week and Russ went to work. I slept in. WAY in...9:30 to be exact.

Then I sewed. And sewed. And sewed. (I'd show pics, but my camera is sitting on my desk at work.)

Russ even had a gig this evening and hasn't come home yet. So I sewed some more.

Now I'm sitting in my recliner watching TV. I have applique to do, but I'm kinda liking the sitting.

Tomorrow I head back to the real world.

A Busy Bee

I've been busy working on samples for the store. Let me tell you - a clean sewing room makes all the difference in the world for productivity! Plus, I've kept it neat for going on 2 weeks now! That may be a record for me!

This little purse is "Amanda's Purse" made out of charm squares and 2 fat quarters. It was really quick and easy...that is, once I unsewed the upside-down zipper!

This is "Cindy Lou Who" made out of Moda Christmas Past charm squares using a Miss Rosie pattern.

I quilted this quilt last week - the pattern is "Take 5" and we die-cut the block pieces for kits. It has been really selling well - tell folks that it's pre-cut and they can't resist! Audrey sure did like the fabric.....there may be another quilt just like it in her future...

And finally, a project out of my own stash! We are offering a BOM in the shop called "BluFusion", but I wanted to try it in a different color. Can you believe that all the blocks are the same pattern? Color placement really can make a difference in how a block looks. Sure do wish I could spend about a month making things from my own stash. I guess I'll just keep whittling away at it.
